    Welcome to the revolution...

The onebow is our first SHTT field hockey stick, designed around a simple idea: most players do not need endless stick options. They need one great stick that feels good, performs well and lets them get on with playing.

We built onebow to suit the majority of players, from developing players through to regular club players who want a high-quality stick without the usual confusion, gimmicks or inflated price tag.

No yearly model changes for the sake of it.
No huge range of near-identical sticks.
    No overthinking required.

Just one well-made hockey stick, designed to do the job properly.

Low bow, 95% Carbon 5% aramid

Open for pre-orders late summer 2026

The onebow has been designed to feel simple, useful and practical from the moment you pick it up.

    One versatile bow

Rather than offering lots of confusing bow options, onebow uses a versatile low bow shape intended to suit the majority of players. It is designed to support core skills such as passing, receiving, carrying, hitting, slapping and controlled 3D skills without forcing players into an overly specialist stick choice.

    The right carbon content

It has long been suggested that 'high carbon is for professionals' and that 'low carbon gives better feel' we have always found that a good (expensive) high carbon stick feels better, hits better, controls better does everything... better. 95% seems to be the absolute sweet spot if you design and manufacture with the right focus on the layup and construction of the stick

    Rainbow grip guide

The distinctive grip is not just there to look good. The rainbow-style grip pattern can also act as a simple hand-position guide during training.

Players, coaches and parents can use the grip colours as visual reference points when working on hand placement, control and technique.

    Examples:

    • Helping younger players understand where their hands should sit
    • Giving coaches a quick visual reference during drills
    • Supporting consistency when practising skills
    • Making technical feedback easier to explain
    • Expect "Right hand on red!" to become a popular coaching phrase

    Extended Softy Chamois Grip

The grip has been specially designed to facilitate training and match play with unusual features for a production stick.

    • Many experienced players grip an extra 160mm of their stick to facilitate a lower right hand position and enhanced control... we do this for you
    • The upper portion of the grip is chamois over cushioned PU for enhanced confort when hitting
    • Smooth chamois finish. Less resistant than many overgrips allowing smooth and fast hand positioning.
    • Grippy when wet. The wetter the chamois gets the more grip you have... the very opposite to normal grips

    Backhand Swirl Marker

So you know where the sweet spot is when learning a backhand shot. We have always thought 'hot zone' or 'backhand zones' on sticks are a brilliant idea BUT they are usually on the blade of the stick where you cant see them when you are swinging through. Ours is on the face. Where you can see it.

    White face, black back

Everyone loves a white faced stick right? But there is more to them than just looking cool...

    • For an advanced player: a white ball blends into the face making drag flicks and sliders harder to anticipate
    • For a beginner: it's easy to remember to play the ball with the white side NOT the black side!

Choosing the right hockey stick size is important. The correct length can help with control, comfort and technique.

For most players, stick length is mainly based on height, but personal preference and playing style can also play a part.

    General size guide

Use the guide below as a starting point:

    • 4'6"–4'9" / 137–145cm = 33.5"
    • 4'9"–5'0" / 145–152cm = 34.5"
    • 5'0"–5'4" / 152–163cm = 35.5"
    • 5'4"-5'10" / 163-178cm = 36.5"
    • 5'10+ / 178cm+ = 37.5"

    Adult sizing

Most adult players use either a 36.5" or 37.5" stick.

A 36.5" stick is the most common adult size and is often the best choice for most players.

A 37.5" stick may suit taller players or players who prefer extra reach. 38.5" is for very tall players although rarely used at any height!

    Junior sizing

For junior players, it is usually better to choose a stick that is comfortable to control now, rather than buying one that is too long to “grow into”.

A stick that is too long can make basic skills harder, especially dribbling, receiving and close control.

For under 12s the general rule of: the stick should reach your belly button but no higher is still a good guide.

    Still unsure?

If you are between sizes, we would usually recommend choosing the size that feels easier to control, especially for younger or developing players. Or for younger kids, measure floor to belly button.

For most adult players, 36.5" is the safest choice.

Who is the onebow designed for?

The onebow is designed to suit the majority of field hockey players. It is intended for players who want one high-quality, versatile stick rather than having to choose between lots of confusing options.

    Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. The aim is to make a stick that developing players can use confidently, while still being suitable for regular club players. Then when you progress you will be used to playing with a professional standard bow profile and not have to re-learn.

Is it only for advanced players?

No. Some specialist sticks are designed for very specific playing styles or advanced skills. The onebow is designed to be more versatile and accessible.

    What makes SHTT different?

We are trying to simplify the hockey stick market. Instead of offering lots of near-identical models at different price points, we are starting with one great stick and keeping the choice simple.

    Why only one stick?

Because most players do not need endless options. We believe one well-designed, high-quality stick can suit the majority of players.

Will you update the stick every year?

Not just for the sake of it. If we make changes, they will be because we believe they genuinely improve the product, not because we need a new graphic every season.

    Can I pre-order the onebow?

If pre-orders are open, you will be able to order directly from this page. If not, join the mailing list and we will let you know when the next batch is available.

    Does every purchase support charity?

Yes. £10 from every stick sold will be donated to charity.

Can clubs or coaches become affiliates?

Yes. Clubs, coaches, players and hockey communities can apply to join our affiliate programme and earn referral rewards from qualifying sales.
